How to

Get your PDF link

The QR code leads to a link: your PDF must be online and open to everyone.

  1. 1

    Google Drive

Upload the PDF, right-click then "Share". Under "General access", choose "Anyone with the link", then "Copy link".

  2. 2

    Dropbox or OneDrive

Click "Share" next to the file, then "Copy link". Check that the link is open to everyone, no sign-in needed.

  3. 3

    Check in a private window

Paste the link in a private browsing window: if the PDF opens without asking you to sign in, your customers will see it too. Then paste it above.

Static or editable

Static or editable: which one?

The QR code on this page is static: perfect if the link will never change. Otherwise, go for an editable QR code, free as well.

Static QR code (this page)

  • The link is written in the QR code: it cannot change once printed
  • No idea how many scans
  • No logo, no frame

Editable QR code, with a free account

  • Change the destination whenever you want, without reprinting
  • Every scan counted
  • Your logo, a frame with a caption, your colours
  • PNG or SVG for print
  • 5 QR codes included in the Free plan, with no time limit

FAQ

Your questions

Step-by-step guides and detailed answers: it's all in our help center.

Can you host my PDF?
This generator writes a link into the QR code, it does not host files. Put your PDF on Google Drive, Dropbox or your website. With Allinks, from the Premium plan, you can upload the PDF straight to your page.
I update my PDF: does the QR code still work?
On Google Drive, replace the file with "Manage versions" (right-click, then "File information"): the link stays the same. Otherwise the new file has a new link and you need a new QR code, unless you use an editable QR code.
Does the QR code expire?
No. It works as long as the PDF link works.
What size for printing?
At least 2 cm wide on a label or card, 3 to 4 cm on a flyer or table tent. Choose the large image for a poster.
Is it really free?
Yes. No watermark, no scan limit, no sign-up.
