Your page is not just for your social networks: it also works like a website that Google can show when people look for you. These settings are included in every plan.
Where to find them
- Open your page, then the Design & settings tab.
- Under Sharing & SEO, click SEO.
The title
The clickable line in Google results, and the name shown in the browser tab (70 characters max). Write your name and what you do, the way people search for you: "Martin Plumbing, plumber and heating engineer in Leeds". Without a title, your page is called @your-address.
The description
The short text shown under the title in the results (160 characters max). Say in one sentence what you offer and where: "7-day call-outs, free quotes, Leeds and 20 miles around." Google sometimes picks another excerpt from your page.
The share image
The image shown when your link is shared on WhatsApp, Facebook, LinkedIn, X or by message. Use a landscape image, about 1200 × 630 pixels, with your logo or a photo of your work.
Hide your page from Google
Your page is visible by default. To keep it out of the results (private page, test, past event), tick Hide this page from Google in the same panel. It stays available to anyone with the link. Google may take a few days to remove it from its results.
"Dofollow" links
When your page links to your website or shop, those links can help their SEO. It is automatic, included from the Pro plan: nothing to set.
Your own domain name
Your page can show on your own address, like your-name.com: it is included from the Premium plan. Connect your domain name.
How long before it shows up?
Google finds a new page within a few days to a few weeks, and decides on its ranking by itself. To help: fill in the title and description, share your link everywhere, and add it to your Google Business Profile if you have one.
